Chief Crazy Horse, Oglala Sioux (This statement was taken from Crazy Horse as he sat smoking the Sacred Pipe with Sitting Bull for the last time, four days before he was assassinated.)
"Upon suffering beyond suffering: the Red Nation shall rise again and it shall be a blessing for a sick world. A world filled with broken promises, selfishness and separations. A world longing for light again. I see a time of Seven Generations when all the colors of mankind will gather under the Sacred Tree of Life and the whole Earth will become one circle again. In that day, there will be those among the Lakota who will carry knowledge and understanding of unity among all living things and the young white ones will come to those of my people and ask for this wisdom. I salute the light within your eyes where the whole Universe dwells. For when you are at that center within you and I am that place within me, we shall be one."
Words of wisdom from a great leader and warrior.
ReplyDeleteWhat a Great, Decent Man. I'm not even asking WHO assanitated him. I guess these who, non content with the STEALING of Lands, also aimed at killing anyone who was powerful to His People = a THREAT to them, the INVADERS.
ReplyDeleteNow we have different laws. More Legacy can be brought, if pushed, with Heart. It's easy to see, with a bit of study in the matter, even by clicking on good Videos like on You Tube (and there is www.vimeoh.com too, brilliant, free video Site) who the real "savages" were: the 'euro-invaders', after the team of the MayFlower boat gave the "green light". What these never thought if, is that Locals always know best about their own Lands. Tipis (or 'teepees') were there for ONE main reason: "the ground that sometimes shook", said an Indian Native Chief, Earthquakes!
"Chief Crazy Horse" has my Respect. His words of Wisdom live on today. We should live according to Nature, protect our Environment - because it's what made us.
Great Blog,
Nvdoigaehi Tsisqua
Osiyo, Nvdoigaehi Tsisqua. Thank you for visiting. Your words ring of truth. Chief Crazy Horse is one of many great leaders of indigenous people from this continent known as North America.Chief Joseph and Chief Sitting Bull are a couple others out of MANY honorable men that led his people as the genocide was taking place. In the face of atrocity, the First People did not lose sight of who they were respectfully. Although we had many clans and nations, we all had one thing in common, that is "our blood".It is still said to this day, "We are all related", hence the title of this blog, "Our Blood Runs Together". We are in a struggle to keep our heritage and languages alive. We believe in peace and perseverance. A day will come when we will be together as a whole and give thanks to Equa Adanvdo and Unitsi Elohi (Great Spirit and Mother Earth).
DeleteNvwatohiyadv ale Witsatologi (Peace and Blessings),
Waya/Tsalagi(Cherokee)....
Wado Waya and may you get the best Legacy for Your People and the Other Native Nations too. Language is a solid, fair way to continue restoring your Cultures, you should gather with Others to push for your Languages to get recognised more, -I have tried translating some texts in Tsalagi via 'google translate' but nothing came for Cherokee... Also there should be Community Centres where Native languages can be learned and spoken, in the USA, if this doesn't exist already?
ReplyDeleteYour Blog is beautiful, nice work, keep it going, and thank you for it.
